Formed in 1988 in Winnipeg, the band debuted with the album “The Ghosts That Haunt Me”. The album, released in 1991, was a success with listeners and critics, today, it stands as one of the beloved classics, captivating the attention of the younger generation towards the band’s work. While loyal fans remember how the songs of Crash Test Dummies touched their lives in the nineties, the younger generation discovered the unconventional sound and distinctive songs of the Canadian band.

The second album “God Shuffled His Feet” in 1993 contains a hit called “Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm”, which brought the band worldwide popularity. Radios include this clearly, best-known song from the band in their playlists to this day. This was followed by the third consecutive record “A Worm’s Life”, released by Crash Test Dummies in 1996.

The unmistakable trademark of Crash Test Dummies is the bass-baritone voice of singer and guitarist Brad Roberts, which is even stronger after the years. In a recent interview with 519 magazine, Roberts said, “The voice actually deepens with age.” 2023’s single “Sacred Alphaber” only proves him right.
