There are not many bands on the domestic scene like Tata Bojs. Their relentless originality, curiosity, desire to move forward, and effort to cross boundaries (not only) between genres are unique even after nearly four decades of existence.
The band’s quality and originality are reflected in their eleven studio albums, several DVDs, two books, more than twenty distinctive music videos, and the documentary tata_bojs.doc (2024), directed by Marek Najbrt, a four-time Czech Lion Award winner. Last but not least, there are their live performances. In addition to their absorbing energy, these are always marked by distinctive design and elaborate stage production based on the concepts of the band’s singer and drummer, Milan Cais, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and a renowned visual artist.
And it will be no different on 27 February 2027 at Forum Karlín in Prague, where the ten-time winners of the Anděl Awards will follow up on their tradition of previously sold-out concerts held on 25 February 2025 and 26 February 2026. In addition to (as always) a unique stage tailored specifically to the venue and the band’s characteristically explosive concert dynamics – including the legendary wide-legged jumps of bassist Mardoša – the concert’s setlist is also a major draw. Time-tested hits such as Pěšáci, Šťastnější, and Toreadorská otázka are sure to be included, interspersed with the occasional rarity that is only rarely performed live, as well as songs from their album V původním snění, which was released on the day of their 2026 Forum Karlín concert.
And who knows – there may even be some unexpected surprises, something that is never in short supply at a Tata Bojs show, and the concert on the magical date of 27 February 2027 will very likely be no exception.
