The Canadian folk-bluegrass band The Dead South will present their latest album Sugar & Joy in Prague
The Dead South is best defined by its origin. Saskatchewan is a province in the prairies of Canada. The area is twice the size of Germany, but has less than one million inhabitants. Lots of nature, lots of silence and lots of time to fill this silence with sounds. So the four bearded guys, as they describe themselves, found themselves in folk and bluegrass. With humor, charm and accompanied by guitar, cello, banjo and mandolin, they have enchanted millions of fans around the world.
Their album called Good Company from 2014 and especially the song “In Hell I´ll Be In a Good Company” scored in charts both in Europe and in America. The clip has over 250 million views. The band is known for their vivid performances, which is also why they were invited to the Glastonbury Festival in 2019.
In Prague, the band will present their third studio album called Sugar & Joy, which was released in October 2019.
